I plan on doing my photo Journalism story on what a Florida theme park looks like during a airborne virus outbreak. I’ve already seen people on social media boast about how the lines are shorter and that there are way less people at Universal Studios due to the Coronavirus. Besides the traction in the park i wonder what guest there are wearing. What precautions the parks is going to take to ensure the safety of the guess. I’m going to Islands of Adventures and Universal Studios for two days while I’m in Orlando and I’m going to attempt to also go to Bush Gardens and Adventure Islands when I get back to Tampa. I want to see if Floridians will take caution of virus since we have two cases here or will there carry on their spring breaks per usual. I want to see how visitors carry themselves in the park. Do they have on face masks. Do they have more mini hand sanitizers on hand than they usually would. Or is anyone at all effected by the possibility of the virus and distracted by the large thrill rides, great food and attractions that Florida theme parks have an abundance of.

This is a great idea for a photo story as it is very relevant. I went to Disney last weekend and it was still very packed as the wait times were outrageous. The only difference was that the virus wasn’t in Florida yet since it just happened after my trip. I made sure to wash my hands multiple times and carry hand sanitizer around as I saw other people do the same. It will also be very interesting to see how things look at Busch Gardens since one of the cases are very close. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Hey Courtney, I really like your idea for your photo story very unique and interesting. The “Corona virus” is scary and being prepared and cautious is always a good thing. Your last sentence will definitely keep me intrigued and, I hope that your “photo Journalism story” goes well and that you did an amazing job on it!! I love the idea of this kind of photo story. I myself love going to the Florida theme parks like Disney, Universal, even the zoo at Lowry Park! A lot of people seem to believe that the illness COVID-19 is a hoax and not taking the precautions seriously. I am interested to see what your take on it is!

Is it terrible that this article makes me wanna go? The professor was stating how cheap cruises are right now so i’m considering going. Personally I think this new virus is a over hyped cold. I sure they will find a cure within the next month. Our scientist are smart they got this. Maybe i’ll go on a cruise while I wait for the to figure it out LMAO.
